1. Keep your information up to date.
Make sure your address, hours, contact information and offerings are accurate across all channels, including your website, Google Business Profile, social media and other platforms. Consistent information helps visitors plan with confidence and reduces confusion.
2. Don't let social media intimidate you.
Create a simple content calendar by assigning a theme to each day you post. Having a plan makes it easier to stay consistent while giving you the flexibility to share timely updates.
Here are a few examples:
• Behind the Scenes Saturday (post something people may not know about your business/attraction)
• Throwback Thursday (post something from your business’/attraction’s past)
• Make a weekly post for sales and/or events
3. Use high-quality photos and videos.
Strong visuals are often the first thing people notice. Bright, well-lit images and short videos help showcase your business/attraction and encourage people to stop scrolling and learn more. 4. Tell people what to do next.
Every marketing piece should include a clear call to action, such as "Book now," "Plan your visit," "Shop today," or "Learn more." Don't assume people know the next step; you need to make it obvious and easy.
5. Make it easy to attend your events.
Include a direct ticket or RSVP link in every post about the event. Save QR codes for printed materials, since people can't easily scan a QR code displayed on a screen.
