The Floyd County Library Cultural Arts Center
Art gallery with rotating exhibits, family workshops, and permanent exhibits including "Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage: Men and Women of the Underground Railroad," which tells the story of New Albany's role in the Underground Railroad, and "Remembered: The Life of Lucy Higgs Nichols," an exhibit on one former slave who became a Civil War nurse. 

Culbertson Mansion State Historic Site
This mansion was once owned by William Culbertson, who was once the richest man in the state of Indiana. Check out this 20,000-square-foot mansion in all of its glory and view its hand-painted ceilings, carved staircases, marble fireplaces and more!

Howard Steamboat Museum
This 22-room, Victorian mansion looks back to the historic steamboat era and the boats that were built in the nearby Howard Shipyards. 

Falls of the Ohio State Park
Hike on 390-million-year-old fossils, in the largest-exposed Devonian fossil beds in the world.  The park's renovated interpretive center features hands-on exhibits in four-themed time tunnels: An Ancient Sea, A Changing Land, Converging Cultures, and The Falls Today. 

Louisville Slugger Museum
Interactive fun and factory tours.  Named "one of the greatest sports museums in the world" by Forbes.com. 

Frazier History Museum
Interactive exhibits, live performances, and special events bring 1,000 years of history of life. 

Churchill Downs
Home of the largest horse racing event, the Kentucky Derby and is one of the most historic venues in all of sports. 

Belle of Louisville Riverboats
Ride aboard the Belle of Louisville, the oldest operating Mississippi River-style steamboat in the U.S., or the riverboat Mary M. Miller, named after the first woman steamboat captain in the U.S., who was in Louisville, KY.  

Kentucky Derby Museum

The Sporting Club at the Farm

Recreation & State Parks

Big 4 Bridge
Big Four Bridge: This mile-long pedestrian and cyclist bridge spans the Ohio River and connects Jeffersonville, Ind. and Louisville, Ken.  Named after its former Big Four Railroad days (Cleveland, Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Chicago), the bridge offers spectacular views and averages more than 1.5 million visits per year. 

Charlestown State Park
One of Indiana's newest and largest parks, Charlestown State Park has interpretive programs, hiking, camping, and a boat launch on the Ohio River. 

Clark State Forest
Indiana's oldest state forest with fishing, camping, hiking, and bridle trails, it is the southern end of the 58-mile Knobstone Trail, the state's longest hiking trail. 

Deam Lake State Recreation Area
A 194-acre lake and seasonably-open with two campgrounds, Forest Education Center, horse and hiking rentals, mountain biking, and boat rental. 

Holiday World & Splashin' Safari
A theme park and a water park with a seasonal theme in Santa Claus, IN that's perfect for the family in the summer. Opening May 11. 

Indiana Caverns
A premier family adventure park in an underground cave featuring walking tours, rides, and an escape room.  

Kentucky Kingdom
More than 60 thrilling rides from steel and wooden coasters to kiddie rides.  The new "Eye of the Storm," a 7-story, high-speed thrill ride, opened in 2017. 

Louisville Mega Caverns
An underground adventure featuring zip lines, an underground tram and bike park, and an annual underground Christmas lights show. 

Louisville Zoo
Home to more than 1,700 animals on 134 beautiful botanical acres. 

Ohio River Greenway
Paths along the north shores of the Ohio River provide safe, green, recreational river access.  The 7-mile pathway connects New Albany, Clarksville, and Jeffersonville, with access to the Big Four Bridge to Louisville.

Waterfront Botanical Gardens
Louisville's brand new botanical garden sitting directly along the riverside. Although it's new and not fully completed, it is open. A perfect spot for morning yoga, walks, and social distancing events.

Splash, swim and play at Clarksville Coves three splash pads, body and tube slides, and swimming pool.  The water is heated so it's never too cold!

Charlestown Family Activities Park
Have lots of fun at the Charlestown Family Activities Park!  Play miniature golf, enjoy water fun at the sprinkle pad, swing and slide at the pirate-themed playground, skate at the roller rink, and take your skateboard to the skate park. 

Jeffersonville Aquatic Center
The Aquatic Center & Skate Park features a 6-lane, 50-meter outside of competition pool, a 6-lane, 25-yard competition and lap pool, zero-depth entry family play pool, two water slides, large deck for sunbathing, full-service concessions, separate family locker room, and skate park. 

River Run New Albany Family Water Park
Get out and enjoy water slides, relax on an inner tube around the lazy river, or get soaked on the steamboat water feature.  There's also a splash pool just for toddlers.
