In honor of Women’s History Month, SoIN Tourism is spotlighting women who shape our local tourism scene. From running shops and restaurants to managing attractions and experiences, women leaders play a vital role in what makes Southern Indiana a great place to visit.

Tell us about what you did before you started your business.
I was (and am) a chef before owning Lady Tron’s.
What is your business and what role does it fill within the community?
Lady Tron’s is a safe space of delicious weirdness – embracing the vibe that makes New Albany awesome.
How did the idea for your business develop?
As a chef, I had always had the dream of my own spot.
Why did you choose SoIN as the location to start your business?
My brother owns a property down the street. I saw this spot, and I thought, “This is perfect!”
Who was your main cheerleader when you started your business? How did they support you?
I would have to say my entire family!
How can the community support your business and other local businesses?
Eat (Lady Tron’s) soups and sandwiches.
What is your favorite local business? (for shopping, dining out, etc.)
I would say The Odd Shop, Catch All 812, and Mr. Nice Guy.
What is one piece of advice you would give someone thinking about starting their own business?
Follow your passion!

Lady Tron’s is a retro, outer space-themed diner serving up deliciously unique soups, sandwiches and more. Fun fact: Their sandwiches are named after Sci-Fi Heroines. Try the Leia (Star Wars), a brie and Muenster grilled cheese with apple butter on cinnamon raisin bread, or the Ripley (Alien), loaded with juicy pulled chicken that’s been simmered in blueberry molasses sauce and topped with sesame sauce.
