Monon South Trail

A portion of the Monon South Trail is now complete from Borden (a great trailhead with parking) to Deam Lake Road! The full Monon South Trail is a proposed 57-mile greenway stretching from Mitchell in Lawrence County to Borden in Clark County, connecting eight communities across the uplands of Southern Indiana. The trail offers sweeping views of farmland and access to nearby state parks and recreation areas. With over 20 miles already completed in towns like Orleans, Mitchell, Salem, New Pekin, Campbellsburg, and Borden, the trail is steadily growing. As construction continues on what will become Indiana’s longest contiguous trail, you can follow the progress on Facebook. Plus, explore the local charm of downtowns along the route through the Magnificent Monon South Main Street program.
