Clifty Falls State Park has some of the most rugged trails in Indiana. Winter and spring hiking showcases the cascading falls at their best, while the canyon offers exciting scenery year-round. View the Ohio River and downtown Madison from the Clifty Inn, where you can spend a few nights, or stop in for a delicious meal at the restaurant. The campground offers 106 electric sites and 63 non-electric sites. There are 10 hiking trails ranging from easy-very rugged. While out hiking, stop by the nature center to see some live reptiles and amphibians, watch birds at the feeders, or check out our fossil display. The park’s 425-million-year-old shale and limestone rocks contain numerous marine fossils and are among the oldest bedrock exposures in Indiana.
