New Albany PAC

UPDATE FROM THE NAPAC - May 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we share that we will be leaving our current physical location and going on an indefinite hiatus as an organization as we consider next steps. We began producing shows in 2016 and enjoyed 4 successful, sold out seasons of plays and musicals prior to the COVID shutdown of 2020 as TheatreWorks of Southern Indiana.

In the fall of 2022, TheatreWorks rebranded our current facility, located in the historic former Indiana State Bank Building (203 E. Main St.), as the New Albany Performing Arts Center to invite other arts organizations to utilize their two performance spaces and as a nod to their community.

We enjoyed fruitful partnerships with a wide variety of companies in this role throughout the last year. Under the guidance of our board, including Dr. Jason and Hannegan Roseberry (that's me!) (Artistic and Managing Directors) and Kota Earnhardt (Technical Director), TheatreWorks had a triumphant return in April 2022 with our sold out run of the musical, Big Fish, and again in 2023 with a successful sold out run of the Humanity Festival of New Ten Minute Plays and a month-long touring SoIN Shakespeare Spring Tour of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, produced with the Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana.

Unfortunately, despite our artistic success, the organization is not able to be financially self-sustaining in our current physical location and we are making the difficult decision to go on indefinite hiatus as we consider options for future physical spaces.

There will be one last production at the NAPAC - TheatreWorks of Southern Indiana is pleased to present Monty Python’s Spamalot, running on the Mainstage of the New Albany Performing Arts Center. Performances will be May 10th - 21st, 2023, Wednesday - Saturdays @ 7:30 p.m. & Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

We do hope you'll join us for our farewell performance in this facility! Due to limited seating capacity, advanced reservations are highly recommended. Reservations can be made at: https://newalbanypac.booktix.com/ .

PLEASE NOTE: due to ongoing construction on Main Street in New Albany, we encourage patrons to give themselves plenty of time to navigate. The road in front of the theatre IS OPEN and patrons with mobility challenges may wish to be dropped off in front of the building. There is parking available on the side street, in the lots behind the theatre, and across Main on the side streets. There is a chance our sidewalks will be disrupted, but we have been assured that they will remain ADA accessible. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these ongoing city construction projects.

The New Albany Performing Arts Center was an inclusive non-profit organization (501c3)  committed to: maintaining two performance spaces for local performing arts groups,  providing opportunities for local actors & technicians,  & nurturing the development of other performing arts organizations.
