This half-day art-making workshop is for children ages 7 – 10 years old. Attendees will be learning the Japanese art of indigo-dyeing, inspired by the work of Elmer Lucille Allen, who will join at lunchtime as guest of honor. Traditional Shibori folding, sewing, and dyeing techniques will be explored alongside a lesson in the history of the indigo plant. A morning snack will be provided, but attendees must bring their own sack lunches.
This workshop has a limited capacity. Register here.
