River Ramblings is a lecture series started in 2010 by our late Director Mr. Keith Norrington as a method to facilitate river related talks and discussions to promote River History and the Howard Steamboat Museum.

This year’s event will feature a round table discussion with professionals from the Str. BELLE OF LOUISVILLE who will be explaining how a steamboat operates in a world where steam is a very rare option and how they make it successful.

We will open with a slide presentation to familiarize the guests with the positions aboard a modern steamboat to better understand who our panelists are.

The event will conclude with a question-and-answer session with our assembled guests to complete this unique experience.

Imagine, if you will, a talk show dedicated to the operations of steamboats in the modern world and you have what we are planning.

River Ramblings will take place on Sunday the 3rd of August at 4:00pm in the Carriage House Event Center on the campus of the Howard Steamboat Museum.

Seating will be first come, first served in a theatre style.

We are suggesting a $5.00 donation to attend.

Come home to the Howard’s.
