Rehearsal of the CMA Community Orchestra

We’re the most fun and friendly orchestra you’ll ever come across! At least, we think so. 

All players are welcome to join us regardless of skill level – there are no auditions. Experienced musicians help beginners and those that haven’t played for a while, helping each member to grow, learn, be inspired, and enjoy making music.

Never played an instrument before? No problem, we can help you get an instrument and lessons – at a discounted rate, or even at no cost to you. We can also provide specially simplified music so you can start playing with the orchestra after just a few weeks.

The details:

• For all ability levels – even beginners.
• Must be committed to attending every rehearsal up until the concert (ok if you miss the occasional week, e.g. please don’t come if you are sick).
• Expected to arrive at rehearsals early enough to be ready to start on time. (Again, ok if you are late occasionally – everyone gets stuck in traffic sometimes!)
• Some practice at home is encouraged – even a little goes a long way.
• Easy to intermediate music with special parts for beginners available.

CMA Orchestra meets every Sunday from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, on the following schedule:

• January through April, to prepare for a concert at the beginning of May, and
• July through October to prepare for a concert at the beginning of November.
