Celebrate Fathers’ Day on the river in a canoe – and be a good river steward! River Heritage Conservancy -- in cooperation with River City Paddlesports, Louisville Metro Parks, MSD, the Army Corps of Engineers and Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy -- is hosting a Park-to-Park Paddle and Cleanup starting from Origin Park’s Croghan Launch on Silver Creek. Paddlers will travel in Voyageur canoes across the river to Sand Island with a stop for trash pickup before continuing on to Shawnee Park. A separate trash cleanup at Shawnee Park will begin at 9 a.m. as well.  We have limited spots for the canoes but lots of space for volunteers to clean up! No registration is necessary to come and help clean up, you only need to register for a space in the canoes. The event is part of the ORSANCO Ohio River Sweep. Gloves, trash bags and other gear are provided.
