In 1843, Charles Dickens introduced the world to some of the most famous characters in literature: Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley, Tiny Tim, and the three ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. "A Christmas Carol" was not only a literary success that went on to become an instant classic, but it also went on to directly influence and shape the celebration of Christmas, itself. The Floyd County Library invites you to join a book discussion led by Christopher Proctor and delve into the story, symbolism, context, and influences of Dickens' well-beloved novel. You are not required to read the book, but having read or watched some version of the book or movie is helpful.
