Invasive Plant Wrangle

The park will be celebrating National Public Lands Day on Sunday, Sept. 29. Join us for an Invasive Plant Wrangle at 2 p.m. at Cragmont Shelter. Discover how to identify a few invasive plants growing in the park, and why and how we remove them. You will also have a chance to remove some of them yourself during this 1-hour program. Please bring work gloves, and you may wish to apply bug spray and sunscreen too. We will provide bottles of water. Please wear boots or tennis shoes, and be prepared to work with shrubs and vines, some of which may have thorns. Entrance to the park is free on Sunday, Sept. 29 so come out and join us! This work is incredibly rewarding as you see an immediate impact on the landscape, and this work greatly benefits our native wildlife.
