Exhibition, G.W. Morrison, Artist: To a Finer Effect

The Floyd County Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibition, G.W. Morrison, Artist: To a Finer Effect, on display March 10 - August 1, 2026 in the Sally Newkirk Gallery. Curated by Albertus Gorman, this exhibition is presented in celebration of Gorman’s forthcoming book, the first on the artist, titled To a Fine Effect: George W Morrison, 1820-1893. G.W. Morrison, Artist: To a Finer Effect features works by 19th-century New Albany artist George W. Morrison, including many highlighted in Gorman’s book.
