Richard Blanton started performing at a young age in church and sacred music remains dear to his heart. After studying music and theater in college, he spent the next 25 years as a theater professional. His work has taken him around the globe but he’s thrilled to be back home in Bardstown, Kentucky. Regionally, you may have seen him in The Stephen Foster Story, or at Music Theatre of Louisville, Kentucky Opera, The Louisville Bach Society, and many other great locations!

His musical passion is the Great American Songbook - songs from the early to mid-twentieth century. Think Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett and modern singers such as Michael Bublé, Michael Feinstein, Jamie Cullum or Harry Connick, Jr. Richard also loves singing songs from the golden age of Broadway and “Steamboat Swing” will include selections from shows old and new.

We will have some special creations from our friends at New Albany’s amazing Distillery 64 available for sale along with soft drinks and an assortment of light snacks. 

New for this concert, we will set the room up cabaret style and feature a dance floor for those who want to kick up their heels to the great musical program.  Imagine being on an excursion boat in the 1930's-50's and you have the idea!
