Our 15th very successful annual River Ramblings lecture series continues with guest lecturer Cory Burdette of the USS LST Memorial, Inc. Museum from Evansville, IN. and his lecture "The Gator navy: The Importance of the LST in WWII and Beyond".  

The LST was the backbone of the Inland Rivers shipbuilding industry during WWII. This informative lecture will explain how America stepped up to the plate for the big war and what influence this had on the success of our efforts. In addition, we invite you to peruse the LST collection of the Howard Steamboat Museum prior to the event.  

The lecture will begin at 3:00 pm on Sunday the 9th of October 2022 in the Carriage House at the Howard Steamboat Museum.
