Talk on the Architecture of the Howard Mansion “A River Palace on Dry Land” by Christina Pfau

Enjoy an engaging talk interpreting the style and construction of the Howard Steamboat Museum building. This 22-room mansion was constructed over a 4-year period by the Howard Shipyard workers for Jeffersonville’s steamboat building Howard family.

Ms. Pfau holds a Master’s Degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Kentucky and has spent over 20 years studying, interpreting, and researching history, architecture, and archaeology. Her experience has been both voluntary and professional including reenacting, cultural-historic surveying, archaeological excavation, and archival research.
