Southern Indiana (May 16, 2024) – SoIN Tourism is pleased to announce the promotion of Katerina Koehler to senior marketing manager. In this role, she will support SoIN’s destination marketing by developing and managing written, visual and video content for the organization’s website, social media, email newsletters and third-party channels.

“As SoIN Tourism has expanded its outreach, Katerina has also taken on additional managerial responsibilities,” said SoIN Tourism Chief Marketing Officer Luanne Mattson. “She has shown great leadership and positivity, helping the community thrive since she joined SoIN Tourism in 2019.”

Over the last five years, Koehler has helped raise brand awareness for SoIN Tourism with high-quality visuals that motivate action and friendly, engaging content on social media. She is always experimenting, evaluating and improving. SoIN Tourism’s social media presence increased 50% during Koehler’s time as visual content manager, jumping from 30,000 followers in 2019 to more than 45,000 followers in 2024.

Koehler is also the mastermind behind SoIN Tourism’s promotional items, earning the award for “Best Specialty Item” at the 2022 Indiana Tourism Conference. She has been the driving force behind SoIN Tourism’s digital passports program, including the popular “SoIN Fun Trail,” which allows visitors and locals to explore SoIN while earning prizes and exclusive discounts from participating local businesses.

Koehler is a graduate of Ball State University. Before joining SoIN Tourism, she spent four years in the marketing department of Luckett & Farley in Louisville, building up her experience in graphic design and project management. She is actively engaged in the community, serving as a board member for Friends of the Ohio River Greenway, the marketing chair for Southern Indiana Regional Marketing Co-op (SIRMC), and she is a member of the Leadership Southern Indiana FOCUS committee.
