Southern Indiana (October 7, 2025) – With the final season of Netflix’s sci-fi thriller Stranger Things™ releasing this fall, SoIN is going “upside down” to reveal the “stranger things” of Southern Indiana. While Hawkins, Indiana, only exists on screen, SoIN attractions and businesses are ready for visitors to explore their real-life strange side. Fans can see Clark and Floyd county attractions in lights both familiar and strange throughout October.

Plan to visit existing chilling attractions, as well as new activities created specially to mark the series finale. Start at the Southern Indiana Visitor Center in downtown Jeffersonville, which has recreated scenes from the hit show. The celebration culminates with “SoIN Goes Upside Down” weekend, October 23 – 25, 2025. Cosplay to your heart’s content with a themed trivia night, Wicked Walk and more!

• Experience a heart-racing haunt at Culbertson Mansion’s House of Anguish. If you prefer treats over tricks and jump scares, attend their special Lights on Trick or Treating from 6 – 8 p.m. October 23. Guests are invited to wear costumes. Those dressed as Stranger Things™ characters will receive a special prize.
• Explore the area’s spooky and sometimes wicked history on a New Albany Wicked Walk. On October 24 & 25, take a stroll through the “Upside Down” of the city while dressed in Stranger Things™ costumes or gear.
•  Gather your crew and test your knowledge at Stranger Things™ Trivia at 7 p.m. on October 24 at Recbar 812. Arrive early to play all your favorite pinball and arcade games. Order up the Demogorgonzola Sandwich or Gorgon Trail Burger, both tributes to the show.
• Step into the Upside Down of science with Boo 812 as they explore the real research behind the strange and mysterious at The Science of Stranger Things™ on October 25 at the Southern Indiana Visitor Center. Boo 812 will offer two 30-minutes shows at 11 a.m. and noon, diving into the very real experiments that inspired Eleven’s powers.

Visitors can also use the free Stranger Things of SoIN digital passport to explore SoIN’s strange, quirky and sometimes scary side, all year long. Check in at 10 locations to earn a colorful print designed by New Albany-based Artist Carrie Johns.
