The SoIN Tourism team traveled to Fort Wayne for the annual Indiana Tourism Conference (ITC) in March. Speakers and presenters offered valuable insights to help us promote SoIN as a must-visit destination—and we’re excited to share them with our partners—a.k.a. YOU!
Here are our Top 5 Tips & Resources that you can start using at your location right now.
- In your marketing, use images that showcase a sense of place (your location). If people are pictured, face them away from the camera, and have them participate in low intensity, accessible activities.
- Sign up for newsletters to help you keep up with changes in the social media space. Some include - Future Social, Daily Carnage, Hubspot.
- The Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC) has a free photo and video library that partners can use! (For promotional purposes only.)
- The Culinary Crossroads newsletter is a great way to get your food events (i.e. chef’s dinner, wine or spirits pairing, festival, etc.) to a wider, foodie foodie-focused audience. Email events to joleneketzenberger@gmail.com for consideration.
- Universal design is the gold standard when making your attraction accessible for all. Click here to learn more about the 7 Principles of Universal Design.
Keep an eye on future newsletters as we take a closer look at these and other tips. And mark your calendar for next year’s ITC, happening in Downtown Indy, March 16-18, 2026!
